Windham - The Board of Education received a proclamation for State Representative Kathleen Chandler at their January board meeting. Chandler was on hand to recognize the 10th anniversary of Windhams’ “Brick by Brick Scholarship Program” by offering a proclamation to the Board and the Brick by Brick committee. The Brick by Brick has given out sixty-seven $1000 scholarships since its inception ten years ago. The scholarship money is generated by the interest from the revenue of the sale of bricks and the bricks can be viewed in the entryway of the school. Mrs. Chandler also recognized Windham student Steven Kalinoff who participated in Art Week. Steven’s artwork was displayed in the hall of the Ohio House of Representatives for the entire year.

They also approved the ski club trip to Peak N Peak, a trip to Chicago and the Bomberettes dance team trip to Disney World. The Disney trip and the Chicago trip will be paid for through fundraising efforts and by the participants. The BOE meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7 pm.
